RowByWord stores the following locally so the game can work:
This information is not sent to Niryph. It remains until you reset progress, clear the relevant app data, or delete the app. Device backups may retain it according to your device and backup settings.
If you are signed in to Game Center, RowByWord uses Apple’s Game Center service for authentication, leaderboards, and achievements. Eligible scores and achievement progress are sent to Apple. Apple may process your Apple Account association, Game Center nickname, avatar, scores, achievements, game activity, device information, and other data described in Game Center & Privacy.
Niryph does not receive your email address or Apple Account credentials from Game Center. Information visible on Game Center leaderboards is controlled through your Apple and Game Center settings. Apple acts under its own privacy terms and may process data outside your country using the safeguards described in its policies.
Purchases and restores are handled by Apple through the App Store. Niryph does not receive your payment-card details. The app receives product information and transaction or entitlement status needed to provide, restore, and protect purchased content. Apple handles purchase information under the Apple Privacy Policy.
When you choose to email us, we receive the information you send, which may include your email address, message, feedback category, app version, operating-system version, and general device model. Please do not include sensitive personal information.
We use support messages to respond, troubleshoot, prevent abuse, and improve RowByWord. Our lawful basis under UK data-protection law is our legitimate interest in supporting and improving the app, or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. We normally delete identifiable support correspondence within 24 months after the last contact, unless we need it longer to resolve an active dispute, comply with law, or establish or defend legal claims.
These support pages do not use advertising cookies or analytics cookies. The hosting provider may process standard security logs such as IP address, request time, requested page, browser identifier, and error information to deliver and protect the site. Such logs are used for security and service reliability and should be retained only as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes.
We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. Information may be handled by Apple or the website/email hosting providers for the services described above. We may disclose information where required by law, to protect legal rights and safety, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.
RowByWord does not ask for a name, date of birth, or direct account registration, and Niryph does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app. A parent or guardian who believes a child has sent personal information to support may contact us to request deletion.
You can use RowByWord without sending feedback and can manage Game Center in Apple’s settings. Local progress can be reset in RowByWord settings; deleting the app removes its local data from the device, subject to backups.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, or receive a copy of personal information we hold, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Email contact@niryph.com to exercise a right. We may need enough information to verify and fulfil the request.
Your right to object: where we rely on legitimate interests, you may object to that processing. We will stop unless we have compelling legitimate grounds or need the information for legal claims.
UK users may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. You may also contact the data-protection authority where you live.
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the information we handle. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. We may update this policy when the app, platform services, or legal requirements change. The version and effective date at the top identify the current notice.
